Coverage Amounts
For groups of 3 to 9 employees, the Employee Group Life Insurance plan provides up to $50,000 coverage per employee. For groups of 10 or more, the plan provides maximum coverage per employee up to $500,000 (based on group size).
Lifetime Protection
Your employees are protected for the full length of their employment, and then some. When they leave your company, they will have the option to convert their benefit to an individual Whole Life policy, which provides lifetime coverage, level premiums, fixed faced value, and cash values that accumulate tax deferred.
Choice of Plans
Flexibility is the key to a successful business plan. While Employee Group Life Insurance is affordable, it does not restrict you. The plan offers you the choice of two distinct coverage options, the Salary Plan or the Flat Amount Plan.
- Salary Plan: Provides coverage for all employees based on the same multiple of annual salary.
For example, 2 x salary.
- Flat Amount Plan: Provides the same amount of coverage for all employees.
Guaranteed Issue
Guaranteed issue without underwriting may be available depending on the size of your group with Employee Group Life Insurance. This means no medical and no health questions. Just sign on to the Employee Group Life Insurance policy and your employees are covered. It's as simple as that.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage
AD&D coverage is generally included, subject to industry risk characteristics. This added coverage pays if a covered employee dies as the result of a covered accident. And it pays when an accident results in a covered loss such as dismemberment or loss of sight. This coverage will be well received by your employees.
Waiver of Premium
As an additional benefit, our Employee Group Life plan offers a waiver of premium for an employee's continuous and total disability for 9 months or longer. will waive the cost of that employee's coverage for the length of the disability, subject to the specific terms of the policy.
